"The funeral of Ed. Bower, a farmer living northwest of town, who died Thursday night, was held at the M.E. church on Sunday afternoon. Rev. Powell conducted the services and burial was made at Oak Grove cemetery."

"Edward Bauer was born July 17, 1864 in Richfield, Wis., and died Nov. 22, 1923, at the age of 59 years, four months and five days. He was united in marriage to Caroline Held on Nov. 5, 1891. To this union four children were born, two sons and two daughters. Surviving are his wife, four children, two grandchildren, three brothers, four sisters and many other relatives and friends. He had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church for 25 years."

"Edward Bauer Dead - The sad news was received here Saturday of the sudden death of Edward Bauers, of Eyota, Minn., on Thursday at 5:45 p.m. His death was caused from cancer of the liver. Mr. Bauers and family left their farm here about the forepart of October to make their home with his invalid sister at Eyota, and up until about two weeks before his death was apparently healthy. The funeral was held on Sunday at Eyota. More particulars of this obituary will appear in these columns next week."
