Earl W. Boyd, 80, 844 2nd St. NW, a retired employee of Rochester Park Department died Wed. at St. Mary's Hospital after an illness of 3 months. Mr. Boyd was born 26 Feb. 1879 in Adams Co., Springbluff, WI. He moved to the Genoa area from Wisconsin when he was 18 years old. In 1914 he moved to Rochester and had lived there since. He married the former Minnie May Vroman Jan. 7, 1911 at Rochester. Mr. Boyd was an employee of the Park Dept and also a mechanic. He was a member of the 1st Methodist Church of Rochester, a charter member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Oronoco, and presently a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Rochester. He is ia member of the Encampment of Odd Fellows and the Rebekahs.

Surviving are his wife and brother Ellis of Epping ND, 3 brothers and 3 sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Sat. at 2 p.m. at the 1st Methodist Church, while the Rev. J. Mettam officiating. Graveside servi3s will be conducted by Odd Fellows Lodge at Pleasant Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the Vine Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today and at the Church after noon Saturday.
