MARION PIONEER DIES
WILLIAM POTTER PASSES AWAY AT HIS HOME IN MARION TOWNSHIP
William Potter, one of the oldest residents of this county, died at his home in Horton Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. He came to Minnesota in April 1854 and located on a farm where he lived from that time up to the day of his death. In the death of William Potter, the county loses, not only one of its first citizens in point of time, but also one of its most honored and upright men.

The funeral was held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the house, and the remains were taken to Eyota for burial. The services were conducted by Rev. W. W. Vine of the U. B. Church.

This union produced six children: Electa, William, Alice, Hattie, Carrie, Flora and Jessie.
